Word spread after the success of DJ Kool Herc’s first Hip Hop party in 1973, it became so popular that Herc had to move the festivities to his local park. With DJ’s looping break beats and emcees moving the crowd with their incredible storytelling, Hip Hop culture was poised to explode on a global level.
